Jason Fisher, Technology Design and Development

Jason Fisher has over 14 years experience in creating cutting edge technology. A proven entrepreneur, he has founded five technology companies in software development, 3D graphic design, and off-shore technology outsourcing. He has extensive experience in creating cost-effective technology solutions using Open Source software as well as traditional development platforms.

As a current software engineering consultant, Jason has created applications using the .NET platform as well as the Linux, SCO and Solaris Open Source platforms. He has significant experience with:

• Membership subscriptions systems - created a membership-based bulletin board system in 1994 for community and on-line games that had over 1,500 subscribers; designed and implemented a web music community involving 5,000+ readers and 20+ contributors; built, migrated and managed a philanthropist advisor community of 30,000 members including dozens of universities and non-profit foundations.
• Transaction processing systems - Jason oversaw a charitable transaction portal that processed over $3,000,000 during the 9/11 relief efforts; developed a workplace giving system that processed over $10,000,000 in donations from 80,000+ employees at various national corporations; created transaction billing and payment systems for luxury automobile parts site that he founded; and, created online quote, client management, billing, and auditing systems for an automotive extended warranty company-currently in use by over 100 dealerships throughout the United States;
• Medical data collection and reporting systems - HIPAA-certified contractor; developed web-based patient and data collection forms with back-office integration; managed rollout of multiple-hospital back office reporting system.
• High-availability hardware platforms - Jason has implemented several Open Source and proprietary hardware platforms designed to meet rigorous user demands and integrated with large-scale databases; designed, developed and installed an award-winning RFID-based customer tracking system and networked display kiosk, currently installed and operational at a major US Airport;
• Programming languages - Jason has extensive experience in all major development languages, including Java, PHP, SQL, ASP, Python, Visual Basic, Perl, HTML, XML, JavaScript and C/C++.
• Application platforms - Jason has experience deploying, modifying and custom module development for several major application platforms, including Drupal, Joomla/Mambo, osCommerce, SugarCRM, OpenACS/ACS/RedHat CCM, Rails and wxWindows.
• Mobile platforms - Jason has experience building and migrating code to run on the iPhone and Nokia Internet Tablet (N800/N810 series) mobile platforms.

Jason is also a proven technology leader, having managed other technical staff, overseeing outside consultants and systems integrators, and in working as part of the senior management team in highly dynamic organizations. He is able to communicate solid technology approaches to non-technical team members.

Jason also has considerable experience in utilizing off-shore resources, having spent three months in India in 2001 creating relationships with numerous outsourcing companies and overseeing the establishment of a development office. He has a firm understanding of the logistical and managerial needs required to outsource tasks to off-shore organizations and remote offices.
